You should follow your County and State recommendations at this point. For example, right now there is an order in place by the Governor of Florida to close “all” beaches. We interpret “all” as being both public and private beaches. This means there is to be no sitting or walking on the beach. You should understand if the door to the beach is authorized ingress/egress. You cannot lock an exit door that is to remain accessible to the owners. We do know of some properties have made doors to the beach inoperable. Again, consult your management team, Fire Marshall and Attorney before If this is the case in your County, you should make sure the fob is not functional and that access to the beach is blocked from your community.
